When Do You Start Decorating for Christmas?

I feel like this question is a controversial topic, but to me, there is only one right answer. Although I do love Christmas, the dismissal of Thanksgiving needs to be stopped. Even though Thanksgiving is not my favorite holiday, it does consist of a lot of good food and the wrapping up of fall. Beginning the Christmas Season before this almost loses the Christmas joy and spirit, especially when it is still 70 degrees outside. With this, the Christmas season is already so long and it does not need to be stretched out any longer. To me the ideal Christmas season consists of snow and cold weather which is not usual in the month of November. Most importantly, skipping out on Thanksgiving misses an opportunity to reflect on the things we are thankful for. So if it is not already obvious, my family and I will not start decorating for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving.
